Health Care Insurance Programme
for Sugar Cane Growers of Fiji
 On the instructions of Sugar Cane Growers Council Marsh Limited as Insurance Brokers and Risk Consultants, negotiated with Dominion Insurance Limited and development a Health Care Insurance Programme (HCIP) for the Sugar Cane Growers of Fiji. The Health Care Insurance Programme is tailored to meet the needs of Registered Sugar Cane Growers of Fiji. The programme provides affordable and cost effective insurance for Medical, Term Life and Personal Accident for the sugar cane growers and their families. This programme has been endorsed and approved by Sugar Cane Growers Council Board of Directors. The Council Management has arranged loan facilities with the SCGF for payment of premiums for cane growers. The effective date for the HCIP is 1st of January 2005, with signing of at least 5,000 members.
Hopitalisation
 Where treatment is not available locally in Fiji, Dominion Insurance Limited on the recommendation of the specialist will evacuate the insured person to either New Zealand or Australia.
Dominion Insurance Limited's preferred provider overseas is New Zealand,however in the vent the insured elects treatement for a medical condition at benefits of the insured for treatment subsequently in relation to the same treatment at any hospital including the preferred hospital shall not exceed F$30,000.
The members can only claim for treatment or producers that are obtained in Australia or New Zealand if prior approval was sort from the given.

"Health Care Insurance Programme" Provides the Following:
Varying levels of coverage, exclusively designed to meet Cane Growers requirements.
Single and Family Covers are available.
This programme is open to all Registered Cane Growers, who have yet to attain the age of 75 years, above 75 years require a satisfactory medical report.
Optional insurance covers are available:
Outpatient, Term Life and Personal Accident.
Covers access to special flight arrangements on emergency cases, with Doctors, Nurses and requried medical equipment.
A medical card or an insurance certificates will be issued to all insured members

NOTE: incase of unavailability of doctors or proper facility, members can be referred to either Lautoka Hospital, CWM Hospital, or Private Hospital upon having prior approval from Dominion Insurance Limited.
OVERSEAS MEDICAL EVACUATION
Limit - $150,000
Premium - $336.00 per annum/per family.
OUTPATIENT
Unlimited doctor visits and prescription coverage.
Premium $310.00per anum/per family.
Note:With the expiry of the exisiting plan new contract is to be negotiated which after the premium based upon number of growers that take up the plan.
